Keeping It McCool

David W. McCool is certified as a fly casting instructor by the International Federation of Fly Fishers, the industry leader in fly casting education. In 2003, McCool opened and was Director of Instruction for Orvis Michigan, the company's tenth corporate fly fishing school in the nation.

For more than 23 years - McCool has provided clients with innovative and effective instructional techniques that get results.

McCool also provides guide services for clients on the Boardman, Ausable and Manistee rivers in northern Michigan

McCool is active in land and cold water resource protection efforts. He has served on Trout Unlimited's First Cast Program and the Grand Traverse Conservation District.

In addition, David McCool guides upland bird hunting for ruffed grouse and woodcock. With over 40 yrs experience and a true passion for dogs and all things upland - an amazing experience awaits.
